Baby update! ;)

Baby girl is growing right along! As of my last appt (Jan 11) she was 4 lbs 10 oz. My dr called her fat. ;) oh well I like them chunky!! I just hope she comes sooner than her due date. She moves constantly! I say if there isn't enough room in there; join us out here!! ;)

I am getting a little nervous with Alyvia. She is SUPER clingy and getting jealous at anyone and everyone who comes to me or whom I hold. She pushes anyone off my lap!! For example my niece, Decqlyn, is a year old. When Decqlyn was first born Alyvia didn't like me holding her but she got over it... now she flips out any time I go near Decqlyn!! and when I say flips out I mean FLIPS OUT! She has begun (well in Dec) throwing really bad temper tantrums everywhere!

Everyone keeps telling me she'll get over it and it will take time and then she realize the baby isn't going anywhere... but when? How long will I have to suffer through it? Just a little worried! Plus being a wife and holding 2 callings! humph... maybe I'm NOT ready for this little just yet. March will be here before I know it!

Other than that I feel great!

Christmas Eve and Day

After Grandma's we had a Christmas dinner with the my sister's family

and swapped gifts. Alyvia got an angry bird (thanks Britt!).

We had a Great Christmas!

Melissa and Jordan (Kristofer's brother and his wife) came to visit, Dec 21-24! SO SUN!

We went to Lamberts!! A must for all those who visit!

GIFT SWAP! ;) hehe... Thank you Mel and J!!

Then we went to see the lights! There is house in Springfield that synced up their lights to music. It was beautiful and amazing, if you don't mine waiting and a TON of cars! ;)

It is always a blessing to have family come visit! Thank you for taking the time to think of us! We miss you guys! :D

I have NO idea where the time goes! I keep telling myself I will blog weekly, but I guess that goal is NOT easy for me! I am not sure why I have TONS of pictures and Alyvia always has a story. But here I am blogging a month later. Here is the scoop of what has been going on in our little town.

November 15, we had a play group and we all went to the Fire Station

The firemen taught the kids not to be scared of them if they were coming toward them,

they got ALL geared up in their fire gear. The kids were terrified at first but some warmed up to them.

Alyvia did not!! She hated the whole experience... ugh...

November 18, We went on the Polar Express!! It SO awesome!

They read the story and got hot cocoa and cookie.

Santa even came. But Alyvia was TERRIFIED!

She climbed over 3 tables to get away from him,

I'm not kidding!!! I have video! :/

She enjoyed the cocoa and cookie though.

She enjoyed the light outside WAY better!!

I think she made us take a picture in front of each of the lights!

We went to Bass Pro for FHE. They had Santa there and a little village.

She wouldn't Santa but she loved the village.

As tomorrow I will be 27 weeks...

I took Santa pics again at Liberty Bank. It was so fun!!

It took Alyvia an hour to get this close to Santa, and I had to keep telling her to not look at him.

In Nursery Alyvia made this today!

My class got to help the nursery make these graham cracker mangers.

It was so fun and the kids loved it, besides the fact they wanted to eat it all ;)

I think that sums it up to about now.

Dallas Arboretum

I really wanted to get some awesome Fall pics of Alyvia... But for some reason she doesn't really like smiling for me! We went to the Dallas Arboretum (if you haven't gone during the Fall you MUST!). Absolutely beautiful! I have never ever ever ever seen so many pumpkins... not even in a pumpkin patch. We spent like 4 hrs there. It was a fairytale every section had a fairytale theme. The biggest was Cinderella with a white wire pumpkin coach.

I Heart Texas

Last weekend we heading down to Richardson, TX. Back to my roots. The Drill Team I was on was having their 55th anniversary and celebrating alumni so I wanted to go!! Homecoming in TX is a BIG deal. I wanted Kristofer to experience a little of it. We went to the morning pep-rally, afternoon parade, and the football game (half-time is one huge performance). A full day of purple and gold pride! Alyvia, Kinzley, and Decqlyn loved all the hype and music. They bounced and danced their little hearts out.

Made me miss it all just a little, not sure I'd ever really want to re-live high school... oh boy; the drama, the drama, the drama... nope. Glad to have the memories, though. ;)

It was so much to be among the hype and school spirit. I cannot believe I didn't take any pictures during the game oops. But it was fun to see the changes that happen in 10 years, the homecoming mums, old friends, and great traditions. NO-ONE does homecoming or football like Texas.

The Circus came to town

What a BLAST! This is mine and Alyvia's first circus experience. And it will happen again! We all had so much fun! And Alyvia's favorite part was anything that had to do with the Elephants. Next year I think we will go on Saturday to the afternoon show. 7-10:30 pm is too late for my little girl. But she sure did have fun.

What a blast! We went to the Circus on a Thursday night. (Oct 6). Yup next year we are totally going but on Saturday during the day.
I love watching the excitement of life through the eyes of a child. I love being a MOM!!

Every year we go to the craft fairs that are in the surrounding areas of Springfield. It is so fun. The first weekend in October is Pumpkin Daze in Republic (right by my dads office). It has grown so much since we first started going many years ago.Her are the girls about to go... it was pretty bright and Sunny.

We had visitors!! Lisa and Race came all the way from Mesa, AZ to little ol' Springfield. Alyvia wasn't sure about Race at first, but she had a blast with another little one around (even though she wasn't a fan of sharing). We were so busy and by the end of the days we were exhausted!! Well... So much has happened since June I am not even going to try to catch up. Alyvia did turn two last month. (which I cannot believe I have a 2 year old). She had a great Dora birthday filled with a Dora adventure and all her friends who came went on the adventure to find the birthday candle that Swiper swiped. It was a blast and I hope everyone had fun. I did take a bunch of pictures and Kristofer video taped the whole thing, but I don't want to go on the search for them, sorry. She got way too much stuff! She was definitely spoiled.
Ok... August.
Alyvia and Kinzley started gymnastics this week. They LOVED it and were SO excited about it!! It is once a week for 30 mins. It is nice to get out. ;) Their first class was this past Tuesday Aug 16. :)

My first attempt...

Ok... to begin. I love PHOTOGRAPHY! I have always wanted to do slideshows and videography for the brides, but I was scared. There I said it! I didn't have the confidence that I would be able to do it. So I never did.... until I got a phone call.

A few weeks back I did an event the Laurels and Priest in our Stake had a Prom so I was asked to take some pictures at a groups home. SO FUN! Well one of the girls' mother is the Relief Society Presidency and called me for a Relief Society Stake activity. She asked if I would be their photographer for the slideshow at the end of the program that weekend (it was Wednesday). I told her I had never done a slideshow but I would see what I could do. So ALL day I researched and studied what would be my best option and if I could even learn some new program by Saturday!! I FELL in love with this program (NOT THE PRICE!).

I GOT it! well the trial at least ;) and put this together to see if I could even use this awesome equipment. I loved what I produced... then found out because it was a trial there was a HUGE banner at the bottom of each slide. I cannot show that!! I was sad so... I reviewed and researched some more and discussed with Kristofer. I really wanted this to be the direct on my photography so I took the plunge. I really got it. So anyway here is the first slideshow I have ever done. (I will show the actual videography I did for the activity later).

New routine...

Well... it is finally spring! The weather is beautiful and the birds are singing. Kristofer and I decided when he get home from work we would go on a family walk with Alyvia. She LOVES it! All day she says "a walk?" and walks over to the door or gets into the stroller. Then I say when daddy gets home, ok? After a couple of days of this I decided why not go on two walks on during the day and one when Kristofer gets home. So we started walking every morning. Lyvs never lets me forget to go on a walk either. ;) Alyvia LOVES the outdoors. After walking around the neighborhood she plays in the front yard. She would play out there all day if I let her, but we have a schedule! ;) nap time is at 11:30. She doesn't like going back into the house... it is such a pain to get her in!

She just gets so mad that she has to go in... we have the same routine ever day. I don't understand why she doesn't realize we will go out and play later when she wakes up. Oh well... gotta lover her.

She gets so exciting when daddy comes home!!

He makes life so much better! I love these two! but my baby is growing and changing every day! I hope I can capture all her cuteness and cherish every moment.

We went to Canton!! ALL 5 of us!! This was my first ever... my sisters and mom had gone before. I was just so much fun to be with the 5 of us again! (oh and baby Decqlyn). It was crazy how many vendors there were and how large it was! If you don't know what First Monday Trade Days is... it's crazy fun! I am not sure if I can even explain it. It is EVERY month... it starts the last Thursday before the first Monday of the month, or something like that. It all weekend. We went down Friday and Saturday.

It was SO full there were any hotels that weren't booked... we had to get a hotel 20 miles away and pretty much everyone in the hotel we were at was full of people going to Canton. It was a blast!!

I miss it being all 5 of us! We just have so much fun... You would never think we hated being sisters when we were all young! hahahaha.... ;)

Life is great...

I got to attend my first Photography Seminar by Sandy Puc' ! She is an AMAZING photographer and market-er! Jerry Ghionis, a world renowned wedding photographer, was the guest speaker.

We went to Kansas City, MO to attend. The Seminar was 5-11 pm so we decided to just get a room at the Hotel. Mom and Brittany were kind enough to babysit the three little ones. (THANKS)

and LOOK!!!

We got a picture with him! I cannot explain how wonderful it was to hear his tricks! I will NEVER look at photography the same! The way he set up the pose and makes it natural! He did 25 bride/ bridesmaid poses in less than 5 mins. It was amazing... I am so glad I took notes!! He is just so kind, funny, down to earth, and it didn't hurt that he is Australian!! ;) hehe...

Things I learned...

Anyway we have gotten booths at for the past two years and we already have ours for next year too. This year we had 3 booths (next year just 2). My mom, Danielle, Brittany, and I put all our crap in it and sell it. It is so fun!! This year I decided to market my photography. It was so much fun!! I had drawings and talked to SO many people. Not only did I market my photography I talked about Heritage Makers. I LOVE THEM!! The publishing company I choose to make my photo books and create scrapbooks. That was way fun too!!

In February, Oh let's say Feb 11th. ;) We (Danielle and I) put together a little Murder Mystery Valentines Dinner... It was SO MUCH FUN! I am not sure if I'd do another one, though. It was so much work but so fun.

One Big thing I would do different is send out the clue cards #1 a week in advanced!! It says it optional but There is so much information on them! I would have had that whole week to study the person I am. I think I told people things I wasn't supposed to. Anywho it was SO fun!! If you have one invite me!! ;)

The light and love I need!

I have been really busy with photography lately! Working, stressing and researching how to be better.
But they are the reason I do it!

Alyvia is my light, and Kristofer is my strength! When I have a bad day, when I am stressed, when I don't feel good enough, or lack confidence in myself; Alyvia and Kristofer bring me back up and fill my life with encouragement, joy, and love!

I have a marketing expo coming up this week and I have been working like crazy getting ready for it with a ton of marketing prints and images and my portfolio.

As I was working on some collages I decided to make one for Alyvia's room.

As I was putting this together I was reminded with ALL the Lord has blessed me with! I have an eternal marriage to a man I love with all my heart and a family that allows my love to spread. A beautiful little girl who tries my patience but loves me for the crazy mother/ woman I am.

Heavenly Father has entrusted me with responsibility of becoming a wife and a mother. What a blessing! I thank Him every day I get to be apart of their earthly life.

I love my life. I love my husband and my baby girl. I love my Savior, Jesus Christ. I love Heavenly Father for allowing his Son to atone for my sins and tribulations. I know Christ lives. I cannot wait for the day when Christ will come and reign!

Love is in the Air...

REWIND... In 2006 I was on a Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. While I was in San Francisco, I was accepted to BYU-I. Because I was there I couldn't make any preps for housing and such. So one of my former companions did it all! Low and behold destiny and many paths combined. There I met a lot of amazing people (including my husband)! But I will just talk about one today, Melissa Carey Hayashi. At the time she was just Melissa Carey.

Mel knew this guy whose name was Jordan... and low and behold Jordan's little brother was in our FHE group. This is how I got to know Kristofer and married him... back to what I was saying. Jordan and Mel were good friends.

Then all of a sudden (not really) My REALLY awesome roommate became my sister-in-law!! How sweet it that?!?!?!?!

The wedding was beautiful! The Sealer was great and gave great advice. Here is a glimpse of their special day.

YAY! I love weddings! And I love family! Melissa welcome to the family!

Snow days!

Alyvia's first snow

I love the snow! I love how it makes everything so beautiful and white... it is quite heavenly. It is so calming and just beautiful. I had a love/ hate relationship with Rexburg... I love to snow, but I hate how it just never went away to really appreciate it. Anyway...

Last year we only had like one snow fall and Alyvia was too little to even care.

This year all she wanted to is "bye-bye" and knock on the door... So I bundled her up and took her out.

She had so much fun she didn't want to go back inside... but I wasn't as bundle as she was and I was FREEZING! She is still so adorable!

Kinzley turns 2!

Well... Kinz turned 2 in December. (But seriously the 23rd!! too much going on then!!) ;) So we celebrated her birthday later... January 4th to be exact. We went to Jump Mania it was so much fun!!

New Year and time to get blogging

I know I have been slacking on the blogging-ness of life. So here I am stating my kinda sorta new years resolution... blog more. ;) Well... here is from New Years day. We have two New years babies in our family. It has become a tradition to celebrate by bowling. This year Lyv and Kinz were old enough to get bowling shoes!! SO FREAKIN' CUTE!! They also went bowling. This year was so much fun!! Make sure you spot her and kinz's shoes!!

I can't believe how big my baby is!! (You will hear that a lot from me) Welcome 2011! We are ready... Bring it.

Well... We officially slept in our new home, Dec 22nd. I wouldn't say officially moved in because we still had a BUNCH of stuff at my moms house. But I knew if I forced Kristofer to sleep in our home he would have to get his stuff over here. ;) We received internet that following Friday! YAY! We had Christmas dinner at our place (pot luck since we don't have a kitchen). As of today... pretty much everything is here, just a few larger items we need my dads truck for it at mom's. Wood floors are stained! They are SO beautiful. Our extra bedroom is currently my "little tiny" studio, but it works for now. Kitchen is still in progress, counter tops are purchased, they just need to be put in. The basement remains untouched! too much right now. Formal living room is semi put together with furniture, only thing missing are pictures and piano. Family is a mess!! (only because Alyvia's toys are put here) ;) I wont allow toys in the bedrooms. Eventually the extra room will be a guest bedroom/ play room, until the basement is ready. But there is furniture and a t.v. in the family room so we can relax.

I took Alyvia's Christmas pictures with Santa this year. But I wanted to be sneaky and just use part of Santa. Alyvia LOVED this, she was SO happy, SO giggly, and VERY photogenic. Her daddy can really get her to smile/ laugh. These are a few of my favorites.

Sorry there have been no updates! It has been kind of crazy around here!! Our goal of moving in by Nov 1 was not met, but as of yesterday (Nov 18) we now have walls painted, carpet in, formal living room has wood floors and the kitchen is in the process of wood floors!! SWEET! The moving in process begins NOW! (Well, a little, it may have to wait until after Thanksgiving). I am THANKFUL for EVERYONE who has helped in this project. Pictures of ALL the updates coming soon.

Everything was being auctioned off, including the house. And we were the highest bidder!! (Which wasn't much, YAY!!) Well... we started working on the house a week after we bid on it. (the other house, both parties signed an agreement to break contract, SWEET!) We FINALLY closed August 30, 2010!!! This house now belongs to US! It is kind of hard to explain with pictures. Our new home has 2 car garage, 3 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 3 living areas (2 fireplaces), a mud room, sun room, a HUGE pantry, and a beautiful fenced back yard. And we live on a dead end street, which we live on the dead end part. We are so blessed!!

So I dont have a front view of the home, but I will some time.

As you walk into the front door, to your left in this beautiful room. This will be our formal living room/ piano room.

After the living room there is a stair case that leads to the basement.

I haven't taken pics of it. But it is split into 2. At the end of the stairs to the RIGHT is another living space with one of the fireplaces. To the LEFT there is a door and it leads to the "John Deer" room. Basically it another LONG garage where most place put riding lawn mowers and tools. It is the length of the up stairs and has one of the bathrooms and an extra workshop space.

This will be my very own Photography Studio!! Lights and ALL. I am STOKED!

If you go straight through the front door, through the entry way you will run straight into the Family room. (ALL PANELING!!) We are taking off the paneling as you can see on the right. That wall is the wall connected to the stair case; we are making it into a half wall to reconnect the basement to the whole house. ;)

The kitchen is connected to the family room.

Pass the kitchen is the mud room (which connects to the garage and a the door to the sun room), then the laundry room, then the pantry.

Here is the hall to all the bedrooms. When you are coming through the front door, instead of going to the family room (and directly in line with the door the basement) you take a right the hall leads to bedrooms. First door on Left is the bathroom, and the 2nd is the Master w/ a bathroom. First door on right is the guest/ playroom. then there is a 2nd door hiding on the right and that is Alyvia's room. ALL rooms are BLUE!! YUCK and this wall paper seriously! YUCK, YUCK!

My baby is no longer a baby!! I cannot believe she is 12 months or 1 year old!! Where did the time go? Did I cherish the time with her enough? Did I document the important parts? Did I cherish her cries and "thank you"? Will she loose her baby chubs?

Alyvia has her first eye appointment! This happened because lazy eye runs in our family, and it could be a concern. Because Alyvia is part Japanese she inherited the little extra flap of skin on her eyes, which can also make your eyes look lazy. If caught early it can be corrected without surgery. So here we went.

As for now... She doesn't have lazy eye. But Dr. Jarvas said to keep looking and checking. He gave me pointers on how to keep an eye on it... hehe... She did so well!!

Alyvia NEVER ever falls asleep just anywhere!! It is either on me, in the car, or in her bed! NEVER I repeat never has she just fallen asleep. But this particular evening, she was EXTREMELY tired. She skipped her 2nd nap as in she refused to take it... I tried everything! So when daddy came to pick her up and took her home I soon received a text with this picture. How adorable!! I love her. They are just so sweet and angelic when they sleep.

Later that night we went to a Baseball game. Kristofer's company bought all the employees and their families tickets; and $15 voucher each person. It was a sweet deal! It is so much fun to go out just the three of us sometimes!! Alyvia was so adorable in her 1st Cardinal's shirt. :)

Here in Springfield there is an AWESOME kids zone!! It is only $5 a kid and it has all those inflatable jump things... I it is really to just let the kids run wild (its inside). They even have little jumpy things for babies.

My mom got us tickets to go see Carrie Underwood. Kristofer has NEVER, i repeat, NEVER been to a concert!! (I know right!!) So it was fun to be apart of his first experience!! ;) It was so fun! If you wore the wolf t-shirt you had a chance to win prizes from the radio station. (Mom and Dad won a $25 gift card to some restaurant.

Nauvoo

So... we made a surprise trip to Nauvoo. My brother-in-law and his girlfriend (my former roommate) were up in Iowa visiting her family. Nauvoo is only 5 hours away from us and 2 hours from them so we decided to meet up together!! YAY!! Melissa (Jordan gf) and I were roommates for 3 semesters in a row!! I love that girl! I am so happy her and Jordan are dating!! It makes getting to know the in-law's gf way easy!! Mel is AWESOME!! Nauvoo was way fun, even though it rained like crazy! ;)

The day Ashley left her kiddos behind was bitter sweet... We had the kiddos wear the burger king crowns... but they wouldn't keep them on. Nor does Alyvia look thrilled.

Then that evening we had a great visit. Our cousin, Chelse, and her family was passing through (from Rexburg, Idaho) on their way to move to Florida. Her husband, Brady, is getting his Master in Music at Florida State. We ate at Lambert's. (YUMMY) and just talked a bunch! It was SO much fun to catch up!

PS... I am so not a fan of 2 piece swim suits! Modesty was how I was raised and, to me, 2 pieces are modest. But when you go on the lake and a baby has to wear a full body suit life jacket... I LOVED the 2 piece. It made it so much easier to change her diaper while keeping the life jacket on. :)

My sweet little nephew Seiler has graduated from Kindergarten. I just can't believe it!

He is even in the Kindergarten bell choir.

The Gila Valley Temple Open House

Some times... Alyvia gets tired of waiting on me... ;) We were getting ready to go to a temple house.

3 hour drive of pretty much this being our view. it was still nice to look at. ;)

We went to the Gila Valley Temple open house. It was Alyvia and Race's first time to go into the temple. It was so pretty!!! But it was so strange because there was NO building around... just desert. It looks A LOT and very similar to the Rexburg and Twin Falls temples. So worth the drive!! And I got quality time with Lisa and baby Race. :) We talked about everything, it was like old times of being just great friends. I really miss just having a good friend I call go to anytime I need to talk or just have fun! (I miss you Lisa!)

This is our drive home... Can I tell you these two babies did amazingly well on this drive!! No crying, just very content babies... LOVED it!!

Alyvia had so much fun going through all the luggage while I got ready in the morning. We stayed with a former roommate of Lisa's. Alyvia loved looking out the glass door and seeing the backyard. She was crawling EVERY where!! And She learned to eat solids while we were in Arizona... She realized her two tiny teeth can break a cracker and she laughed every time she did it. So sweet.

Wait until you see these... OLD SCHOOL! but you will know the brand name. ;)

Could you imagine?!? I am glad I don't have to use those!!

Alyvia had so much fun with little Race! She just kept giving him kisses and wanted to be involved when Lisa changed him. He was so tiny... I kinda missed Alyvia at that stage; when you could just leave them and they couldn't go anywhere. ;)

Mother's Day

Sad Day! I spent my very first Mother's day away from home, but with my baby girl. I did how ever get to spend it with my friend, Lisa. It was her first Mother's day too. So we got to celebrate together. ;)

Alyvia thought this day was ALL about her though! She got to "learn" to play the guitar with Kyle. He would strum her finger across the strings and them she would do it herself and everyone would clap and she would be so proud of herself. She would then strum again and again everyone would clap (she also joined in on the clapping). Then we all would start talking and she would strum... Then she began clapping, we looked up and she had this look as if she was saying " HELLO, people, clap; I just did it!" It was so cute!!!

We had a blast at the zoo. Well, until it started to DOWN POUR! We most definitely got caught in the rain. We had to wait in a cage, SERIOUSLY! and the rain didn't end... so after waiting and waiting and waiting we made a run for it to the car... We were all soaked and cold. Family Home Evening

For the whole month of March each FHE was dedicated to the resurrection of our Savior. We took each part in greater detail from the last supper to the garden to the trial then crucifixion then to His resurrection. It was a powerful month! It was really cool to break the days down and focus on then in depth. I hope the kiddos liked it. The FHE before Easter we had the kids tell us the story. Then made Bunny Cakes, family tradition.

For Spring Break, Ryann went to her father's in Texas. We didn't want Seiler to feel left out all week so we did something every day. This day we went to the discovery center. We all had so much fun!

What a busy day! St. Patty's day is a BIG day in our lives! Brittany's birthday is the same day! I had visiting in the morning, then we all went up to the office and brought pizza. Brittany made lunch ALL green. Green salad with green ranch dressing. It was classic. Then after that I was off to another visiting teaching appointment, then to the church. My mom is in charge of the new Relief Society meetings, formally known as Enrichment, or Home making. ;) So we decorated the cultural hall. We had a garden "T" party "From MorTaliTy to ETerniTy." It was really cute.

Time Out For the Springfield South Stake

Our Stake had a Time Out For Women in Branson. It had something to do with Women of Destiny or Confidence. I cant remember exactly what the title was, but Danielle and I were asked to "teach" a makeup class. Because of some certain circumstances we were asked with only a week to prepare. So we took the challenge, but the class ended up being a class about taking care ourselves mainly our skin and faces. It turned into a Confident Beauty class. It was SO much fun!!

We went ALL over the mall asking so samples and help. ;) Origins and The Body Shop Well, The Body Shop were the most generous. They gave us samples and a whole make up kit to give make-overs. If you have never been to The Body Shop, you should!! They are AWESOME! Great products and prices!

As you know from previous posts, Ryann is in piano and practices every day! Well, Alyvia and Kinzley LOVE to hear her play... and they want to play TOO . I love seeing Alyvia play, her whole face lights up. I cannot wait to put her into piano. She LOVES music... she sways back and forth whenever she hears it; from t.v to piano to church hymns, she loves them. She'll stop whatever she is doing to listen clap and sway. Most of the pictures she is smiling in like our family pics or her 8 month is because we are waving some kind of musical instrument. I love her!

In Missouri g-sales, craft shows, flea markets, antique shops, and expos are HUGE here!!! They are EVERYWHERE!! So my mom has decided to clean her life out... and she has ALOT to clean out. She rented a booth for one of the biggest combined g-sales in Springfield. It is a large venue rented out to people every year and there are like over 100 booths. We rented 2 and still needed room... hehe... My mom, Sisters, Danielle and Brittany, My Aunt Karla, My grandma Rose, and Great Aunt Evie put stuff in this g-sale. These pictures do not even do justice with how much crap we had!

I wish I had taken pictures of the day to grage sale opened it's doors!! WILD CRAZY... TONS of people everywhere!! An experience that we learned a lot from for next year! We made a grand total of approximately $1,000.00. YAY! It was so much fun!

Mission Flackback...

While I was serving in the California San Francisco Mission I met so many amazing people and I was introduced to so many different cultures. One of the many was the Tongan culture! I served in the Tongan program too!! I loved it! I love THEM and miss them too!! (thank goodness for facebook ;) ) anyway... My brother in law, Josh, served in Bernadino, California (way before me) ;) in a Tongan program there. So, my piont. We now have a Sister serving in our ward who is from Tonga. So Josh decided to make a Tongan dinner and some Otai!!! I had forgotten how much I MISSED this food and the culture. Sorry, to her pālangi, meaning "white person," companion. I even made the boiled bananas!! Josh made Lu Pulu... but we didn't have tarro leaves so we used banana leaves and spinach. I MISS CALIFORNIA!!

It was a BEAUTIFUL Spring day. We had a thought, lets take the kids to the park. So we did! :) This was Alyvia and Kinzley's first time in the stroller together. We were a bit scared Kinz would attack Lyv, but they did great! They both loved the Spring air and the sights. We saw geese and fed them. Alyvia went in a swing for the first time! What a great memory!

Kristofer and I teach little ones at church and I love it! They are 6 years old turning 7 this year... SO innocent! Well, this particular Sunday (February 21) my sister's class joined ours. They are the 5 turning 6. We taught all about the Love of our Heavenly Father and how He watches over each and everyone of us. We talked about the importance of choosing the right to make Him proud and also in time of need He is there for us! For their handout we gave them each a pair of glasses (without lenses) the tag says "Heavenly Father watches over ME!" Cute, huh?!? Glasses- watching... anyway. I love this kids they light up my life and remind me of what it means "to become as a little child."

Ryann's Contest

Ryann has been doing SO well with piano! I just love hearing her play. February 20th she preformed for judges! She had never done that, was quite nervous, but she did so well. Love at her beautiful smile! Love it! I am so glad I get to be apart of something she loves.

Where did all this snow come from? Missouri usually doesn't get this kinda snow. Our first fall was Christmas Eve. Then it went away and now it wont go away... I swear I left Rexburg last July. (It is still definitely not as cold as the Burg).

Alyvia's first trip to Washington - Day 1

Saturday January 16, 2010. We left for the Kansas City airport at 8:30 AM. We made the 4 hour trek North. It was a very foggy drive, but everything went so well. Alyvia was such a doll and didn't cry once. We made it to the airport by 12:30 PM. There were no lines and we checked our luggage without any hassle. Then through security we went... to gate 33. For some odd reason Southwest has their gates sectioned and they are separate. (weird) Anyway... We were really early to our flight, which wasn't until 3:45 PM. So we sat and waited and fed Alyvia lunch, then waited some more. I decided to check the monitors just to make sure our flight was leaving from gate 33; sure enough it said gate 39 (the other section of gates). So I talk to a lady at the counter and sure enough we have to go through security again to go to the other gate... ugh... oh well. So we get to the next gate and go through security, this time Kristofer has to be patted down. haha... Then we sit and wait again.

Alyvia is SO observant, she loved looking at the planes.

As we sat there for hours just waiting... there were tons of flights over booked and we were just listening to what vouchers they were offering and how long that particular flight would have to wait for the next flight. They were all about 4-5 hours. I kept telling Kristofer I have always wanted to take one of those offers. So finally when our flight came sure enough they over booked this flight too. We were headed through Las Vegas then to Seattle. Well, I said let me just find out the stipulations. I waited in line and the guy, 2 in front of me, was saying he had a connecting flight and the lady said they don't usually do connecting because they can't guarantee the connecting flight. Then girl in front of me said she could do it. Then I talked to the lady and said I heard you don't connecting flights, but we don't have to connect through Las Vegas because we're headed to Seattle. She put our name down and said just load the plane and they'll call us. As we were about to enter the plain they called our name. The next plane was boarding and we would arrive 15 mins later. We would just connect in Chicago instead... So I was like deal! Our voucher was for $660.80. :) We have a year to use it. The downfall was that the flight was back at gate 33 and we had to go through security again! But it was worth it!! :)

Alyvia did great as she always does. We arrived at 8:30 Seattle time.

My First Order!!

This was my first sale/ order! I took 8 year old baptism pictures. The main thing was her baptism announcements. It was so much fun and it the feeling of success was firing within! This client bought $200 worth of prints!! I just can't believe I am actually becoming a photographer. Her order comes in a really nice box with a gold ribbon. It all looks so professional! I love it!!! Have I told you how much I love photography? Anyway just wanted to share with you my excitement and joy. I love what I do and I do what I love. :)

Dr appt... Jan 6 2010

Alyvia and Kinzley had their first Dr appointments of the new year! Alyvia had not had an appointment since she was 2 weeks. So when we FINALLY got insurance we made an appt ASAP. Danielle had a nurse practitioner and wanted a Pediatrician. So now Alyvia and Kinzley have the same Dr. And Dr. Butler is AWESOME!! Well, since Alyvia hadn't had an appt this was technically her 4 month check up, but she 5 1/2 months.

Kinzley, her 1 year appt. All she wants is to eat the stethoscope.

Both babies had shot given this day. The nurse was not the nicest! And Alyvia did a bit worse than she had ever done! But she was still ok. Alyvia also slept ALL day after her shots.

Alyvia will be having tummy time and Kinzley will come over to her, bend down and tilt her head to Alyvia and say "Hi" and then pat her on the head! Some day I will have to record it!

I am pretty sure I have posted my creations of Chocolate dipped strawberries. But these were SO GOOD and looked amazing I couldn't resist. Danielle and I made them after Family Home Evening January 4. They look so good I could totally sell 'em! ;) hehe.... Trust me they tasted AMAZING too!!

Josh and Seiler's Birthday
