Why I love this man!
First bath
Alyvia had her first bath given by mimi. In the Easton family it has become a tradition that mimi gave the first bath to the first born. I am so glad she finally made it to Idaho to see her grandbaby #7 and continue in the tradition. ;) Alyvia only kinda liked it. She really didn't like be naked afterward. I love these pics! :)

Alyvia's Arrival
The Scoop...
Okay, so Wednesday I had a Dr appointment at 9:50 a.m. So we went. :) There we got the news that I was dilated to a 5 and 80% effaced. The Doc said he was surprised I hadn't gone in to labor, yet. He then striped my membranes, that totally didn't hurt like everyone said it would. The Dr then said he'd be even more surprised if that didn't cause me to go into labor. He then asked if I wanted to be induced if that didn't work.
So I thought about it. If I purposely scheduled an induction without my mother here, she'd be so mad. Mom doesn't get her until Sunday night at 11 p.m. So I told him Monday would be fine. Then the nurse came in to tell us the hospital didn't have an opening for an induction until Wednesday, the 29th of July. I said okay, but really thought there is no way this baby is going make it to Wednesday.
After the appointment we had our baking class at 11 a.m. Cleaning the kitchen was our last task for this class. I didn't feel very well and even got REALLY hot, kinda like almost passing out hot.
We then had another class at 2 p.m., so we sold books and then went back home.
About 12:30 I felt really tired, so I laid down. As I laid down I felt tightening of the tummy or so I thought, I wasn't sure what I was feeling. I timed the thing I was feeling and they were about 5-7 minutes apart. Every time I got up or did something else I didn't feel that feeling, so I thought nothing of it.
We then went to our second class. We then ate lunch, and got home about 4 p.m. Kristofer was working on homework and I was chilaxin' in a chair and started feeling the tightening of the tummy (which did not hurt, it just tightened). So as I was timing them they were 4 minutes exactly apart, every single one. Some came at 3 minutes, but most of them were every 4 minutes to the "T." Kristofer kept asking, how are you feeling? I kept asking are you done with your homework? I timed these things for an hour, and still wasn't sure if we should go to the hospital.
Finally, I said maybe we should go and at least just get checked. Because I wasn't even sure if I was having contractions. So we get to the ER about 5:30 pm. We walk in and the person asks how he could help us. I said "I think I might be in labor." Kristofer laughed. Then he called for a nurse to escort us up to delivery.
We get up to labor and delivery and into an exam room. I get hooked up to the machines and the nurse said I was definitely contracting and dilated to a 6. So I asked am I going to be admitted? She said oh yes you won't be going anywhere.
My sister came up from Ogden and drove real fast not thinking she was going to make it. She got there about 9:30 p.m. and she came in plenty of time. ;)
As soon as I got a room, the new nurse pumped a bag of fluids into my system so she could give me my epidural ASAP. As soon as the bag was empty I got my eppy, which again totally didn't hurt as bad as everyone kept telling me. It took 2 hours to be dilated to a 7 and another hour and a half to dilate to an 8, then 30 minutes to dilate from and 8 to a 10.
When the nurse checked me at an 8 she said let me know when you feel pressure. So about 20-25 minutes later I called for her and told her I think I have pressure; I could tell Kristofer when a contraction was coming without even looking at the monitor. She came in and said I was completely dilated and effaced. I then asked how long will the pushing part be? She said for most first time mothers it could take about 2 hours. Yikes!! It was already a little before 1 am. So she said lets push a bit before the Dr got there. I pushed 3 times and she yelled stop, I have to call the Dr. So now I have to freakin' hold it! :) It was not too bad. The Dr got there and took his sweet time to get ready to delivery. Before that the nurse tried 3 times to break my water and could not. The Dr was so excited, because it was very rare for a baby to be delivered with the sack. I pushed 3 more times and our baby girl was here. When I delivered she was with her bag. The Dr yelled at my sister and said, "GET THE CAMERA! This is so cool." Personally, it looked pretty creepy. Then my baby girl was here.
Kristofer cut the umbilical cord and they laid her on my tummy. She was SO BEAUTIFUL!
After 7 hours of labor, 30 minutes and 6 pushes we had a very beautiful baby girl, who was 8.6 lbs and 19.5 inches. She was born on July 23, 2009 at 1:24 a.m.

Dr appt
Dilated to a 5 and 80% effaced. And I got my membranes stripped.
Dr said he is really surprised I haven't gone into labor. ;) Me too... but hopefully soon. The nurse said this was odd that they didn't usually see women who were dilated to a 5. She said that the labor may be fast. :) That would be nice. So maybe next time I blog with be Alyvia in my arms. Otherwise, we have an induction scheduled for Wednesday at 7:30 am. She has been pretty stubborn, so we shall see.
Love,

update: dilated to a 4 and 75% effaced
She possibly could be here next week sometime! Yay!
Survey time...
ok there is supposedly 17 days until Baby Hayashi comes into this world. I have put up two surveys for you to decide what color the babies hair will be, if she has any and how big she will be.
Enjoy, I cant wait to see what you think.

Yellowstone
We went to Yellowstone. It was such a beautiful day!! It was SO much fun to just spend it with each other. We got to relax and enjoy the fresh air. I wish we could have camped there all week! There was too much to see and not enough time to do it all in one day! I love you Kristofer.
